When Cadillac announced a new version of its SuperCruise system for the next-gen Escalade, many noticed it has simultaneously revealed the rear end of the SUV on the dash screen.
It looks like the new Escalade keeps its vertical brake lights, sports a chrome strip spanning the entire trunk width, and has four exhaust tips.
The company had earlier revealed that the SUV would be getting the largest-in-class 38-inch infotainment display. Like its technical siblings – Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon Escalade – it will also feature independent rear wheel suspension. A 6.2-liter V8 is confirmed, and industry observers expect it to produce between 450 and 660 hp (336 – 500 kW), but specific numbers remain unannounced. An all-electric version should emerge later on, while a diesel one may or may not appear.
As for the SuperCruise feature mentioned above, it now supports automated lane changing as soon as you touch the turn blinkers. The CT4 and CT5 will be getting it, too.
The new Cadillac Escalade will be revealed on official terms on February 4, 2020.
