Cadillac plans to produce an electric modification of its flagship SUV, the Escalade. According to the first teaser pic, it is going to be called ‘Escalade IQ’.
The badge appears to sit on the tailgate, but that’s about as much as one can tell. It is possible that the company will base the Escalade IQ on the same architecture as the Chevrolet Silverado EV, in which case it may get dual e-motors, up to 673 PS (664 hp / 495 kW) and over 600 km (373 miles) of range. Rear-wheel steering and independent suspension at both axles are also high on our list of expectations.
As a part of the General Motors electrification strategy, the Escalade might crystallize into a separate sub-brand later on.
