GM set to launch 20 new EVs in three years

General Motors has revealed its roadmap for the next three years. Apparently, the automotive corporation has plans for 20 all-electric models already drawn up.

Five of these will hit the market wearing Cadillac branding, including a battery edition of the Lyric SUV, a new three-row family car, and the successor to the XT4 provisionally known only as “SUV EV”. The fourth entry is a full-size off-roader with “Escalade DNA”, and the fifth is a particularly deluxe Celestiq Statement Vehicle, which the company plans to assemble completely by hand, one car per day.

The Chevrolet range will expand to incorporate a mid-size crossover SUV, a pickup called BET Truck with 400+ miles (645 km) of range, and a hatchback called Bolt EUV. The latter will improve upon the design of the latest Blazer model and pack the Super Cruise Control feature so far only found in Cadillac luxury vehicles.

Buick will also come up with a couple of SUVs, and GMC should complete its Hummer EV (shown in the video here) by the end of 2021. Rounding off the list is the fully autonomous Cruise Origin shuttle bus co-designed with Honda.
