Cadillac posts photos of the 33-inch large Lyriq touchscreen

Cadillac has revealed pictures of the enormous touch-enabled display its new Lyriq EV will ship with. The curved screen measures 33 inches (845 mm) across and comes divided into three zones sporting smooth transitions.

A status report area resides in the leftmost part of the dash, to the left of the steering wheel, and can be used to toggle lights and the screen itself. A digital instrument cluster sits in the middle, and an infotainment system with sat-nav occupies the right side. The divisions are not hardcoded, either: the manufacturer says the entire panel can display one continuous image when necessary.

According to GM Design Director Bill Thomson, the Lyriq touch panel is the next evolutionary step of the display that debuted with the Escalade model.

The electric car will be revealed online on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
