Cadillac VP Mahmud Samara confirmed that the much-anticipated Lyriq E-SUV had gone out on a series of proving ground tests at the GM Michigan facility. The premium crossover should reach the market by the first quarter of 2022.
In our gallery, we are including a number of official teaser images along with the spy shot made today. As you may see, the test vehicle looks much like its prototype and quite ready for production as is. The company itself claims it is 85% ready.
The Lyriq benefits from a brand-new EV platform, runs on GM power cells and can be obtained in RWD and AWD forms. A 100-kWh battery will give it 300 miles (483 km) of range.
It is official that the Lyriq will get a single giant dashboard display 33 inches across that will combine the dash and the multimedia. It will also offer Augmented Reality functions and Super Cruise Control.
Prices are expected to start below U.S. $60,000.
