Cadillac XT4 V-Sport to debut soon, 300-HP version to follow later

According to several sources, Cadillac will reveal the V-Sport trim version of its XT4 crossover SUV before the end of the year, followed by a 300-hp (224-kW) variant. Both should arrive in early 2020.

Compared to the main series, the XT4 V-Sport has numerous visual improvements, such as an aggressively styled body kit and a different cabin trim. In turn, the XT4-V is a performance trim that will ship with a 2.7-liter Chevrolet Silverado engine rated at 300 hp (224 kW). The company may also release a hybrid version of the SUV based on the standard two-liter engine, but this isn’t official yet.

The regular Cadillac XT4 comes powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged V4 engine sending 240 hp (180 kW) to the wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The XT4 is also Cadillac’s first vehicle to make use of electrohydraulic brakes.
