Cadillac XT4 spied with less camo, more changes

The XT4 is a recent addition to the Cadillac SUV lineup. Having debuted in 2019, it is now getting ready for a mid-life refresh.

Unlike some earlier prototypes wrapped in impervious camo, this one makes do with a light wrap revealing major changes at the front end. The radiator grille, the bumper and the hood are all new, and the headlights with their patterns look like they are also undergoing a transformation. The same applies to the rear bumper and the taillights.

Significant innovation is expected inside the cabin as well. For one thing, the images reveal a large curved dash display like the OLED head unit found in the latest Escalade. The entire layout is tricky to see, but it will likely be all-new, too, due to the need to integrate a new instrument cluster and center console with the rest of the cabin.

The current XT4 version (see video) uses a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine rated at 235 American horsepower (238 PS; 175 kW). The facelift may introduce a couple of hybrid options.
