Cadillac XT4 gets some nip-and-tuck in China

Cadillac has facelifted its XT4 SUV in China. The model looks largely identical to its U.S. counterpart now (see video), but there are differences under the hood, including a new engine.

Up until recently, customers in China could only acquire their XT4 with a 2.0-liter turbo four-pot rated at 237 PS (234 hp / 174 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. Starting this week, a new, more affordable version is available with 211 PS (208 hp / 155 kW) and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal. The transmission is automatic in both cases, and AWD is not available in either spec – not even as a paid option.

Inside, a 33-inch curved display fulfills the functions of the digital dash cluster and the head unit simultaneously. Climate controls are still relegated to a separate unit, though.

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 starts from 230,000 Yuan in China.
