Canada comes out with own EV, schedules debut for early 2023

The electric utility vehicle you see here is called Project Arrow. It is a crowdfunded project supported by multiple car part vendors, and it is set to debut at the CES-2023.

The project is supervised by APMA, the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association of Canada. According to its CEO Colin Dillon, the car is destined to show the world just how technologically advanced the Canadian automotive industry is at this point. To strengthen the impact, the company is now looking to involve as many participants as it can in the project.

So far, 55 businesses have expressed their interest in the concept. Dillon notes that there are more than 500 companies operating in this industry branch at the time, and inviting them all to the CES would be borderline impossible. Still, the company is currently working on an Augmented Reality solution that would make it possible for viewers to learn about the technologies and solutions used in the real-life prototype of the car, including those from parties not present at the show.

The exterior design is nearly complete now, and engineering tasks are 60-70% done as well. APMA says it should be ready by late 2022. All technical specifications remain undisclosed.
