Caterham has had a roadster lineup called Super Seven going for a while, and it is now being complemented with two new entries, named 600 and 2000.
The 600 is based on the Seven 170 model introduced in September 2021. It still holds onto its 0.66-liter (660cc) turbo engine rated at 85 PS (84 hp / 63 kW). As a consequence, it needs 6.9 seconds to sprint 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) and doesn’t go beyond 169 km/h (105 mph).
The 2000 is more powerful and makes use of a 2.0-liter engine boosted to 180 PS (178 hp / 132 kW). Its top speed is likewise higher at 210 km/h (130 mph), and the sprint time is shorter at 4.8 seconds.
Compared to the models they are based upon, both roadsters have reshaped front fenders, original wheels and body finishes inspired by vintage cars. Their interiors are awash with chrome and equipped with retro dash gauges. The trim materials are new and original.
Price-wise, the Super Seven 600 starts from £29,990 in the UK, and the 2000 begins from £39,990. An important note to make is that you get a kit car in a crate that you are supposed to assemble yourself, or otherwise pay someone to assemble.
