The Changan Lantop truck, known as Hunter Plus outside of China, is now available on its domestic market in an off-road-focused Pro Edition starting from 169,900 Yuan.
On the exterior side of things, the pickup stands out from the standard version thanks to 18-inch wheels shod in all-terrain rubber, a snorkel pipe, unfinished plastic body kit and a two-part tailgate.
The front and rear bumpers have also been revised to improve approach and departure angles, the manufacturer reports. The ground clearance has been raised to 225 mm (8.8 inches).
Power for the extreme Lantop comes from a 2.0T engine boosted to 233 PS (230 hp / 171 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends the torque to all four-wheels thanks to a part-time AWD system. Rear and interaxle diff locks are already included in base equipment.
