Changan’s new Qiyuan A05 sedan can be obtained in six trims priced from 89,900 Yuan.
The car is 4,785 mm long and has 2,765 mm between the axles. It is thus nearly identical in size to the gas-powered Changan Lamore (see video), which is unsurprising since the two are closely related.
Powering the Qiyuan A05 are a 1.5-liter non-turbo engine rated at 110 PS (108 hp / 81 kW) and an electric motor obtainable in two variants: 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) and 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW). The two batteries available are rather small at 9.07 and 18.99 kilowatt-hours, and the biggest one only yields 145 km (90 miles) of driving range according to the China standard. Still, as a range-extender hybrid, the saloon gets 1,300 km (808 miles) of range with the gas tank full.
