Changan Uni-K debuts on official terms

Changan showed us the exterior of its crossover SUV called the Uni-K last month, and now the car is available for all Auto Guangzhou attendees to see in detail. Here are some of its specs.

The SUV is 4,865 mm long, 1,948 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall with 2,890 mm between the axles. It only has two seat rows and keeps hardware controls to a bare minimum. The dashboard is digital, and a triangular touch panel to the right of the main infotainment display can be used to navigate it. The tunnel houses a drive mode selector knob, a gear joystick, cup holders and a wireless charger.

The model arrives with only one engine, specifically a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot rated at 233 PS (230 hp / 171 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque. An Aisin eight-speed automatic sends the momentum to the wheels, and AWD is a paid option.

Sales will begin in the first quarter of 2021. Changan expects to launch five new Uni Series cars within the next five years, including the Uni-T SUV and a mysterious sedan model next year. EADO and CS lineups will receive as many as nine brand-new and updated models.
