Check out an RC Lego snake slithering around on 200 wheels

Brick Experiment has posted another bizarre Lego creation on YouTube, this time around building a 200-wheel, remotely controlled snake that’s over 6.4 meters (21 feet) long.

Mind you, that’s longer than most full-size American pickup trucks. Four electric motors proved quite sufficient for propulsion, and if the video is any indication, the whole thing came out fairly agile and maneuverable.

Brick Experiment also goes into detail on how the optimal joint type and wheel positions were chosen for every platform. In the end, a ball joint with only one variance (horizontal) proved the most efficient. Axles were mounted at the middle of every platform. As for wheel size, experiments have proven it doesn’t matter much.
