The upcoming Chery eQ7 SUV will go on sale in China in the second half of 2023 with 211 metric horsepower and no other powertrain options, AutoHome reports referencing the data published by the China Ministry of Industry and IT.
According to the patent/product documents submitted for registration, the vehicle is 4,675 mm long, 1,910 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall with 2,830 mm between the axles. It is thus very close to the existing eQ5 model in terms of wheelbase length and only marginally longer – perhaps due to styling differences.
The front fascia looks rather unusual with its two-tier headlights and an aggressive bumper. The air intake in it rhymes with the shape of the rear end, and so do the two-tier taillights.
As for the powertrain, it is represented by a single electric motor mated to a LiFePo4 battery of unknown capacity. With 211 PS (208 hp / 155 kW) at its disposal, the EV maxes out at 180 km/h (112 mph).
Refer to the gallery below for the first official teaser pics showing the new eQ7 from the inside and out. As you can see, there is a large display recessed into the dash panel in the cabin.
Price-wise, the Chery eQ7 is expected to fit into the 150,000–200,000 Yuan range in China.
