Chery Tiggo 7 Plus gets an update

Chery has rolled out its facelifted Tiggo 7 Plus SUV and revealed its select parameters ahead of the sales start. The car now uses a pair of connected displays with a combined diagonal size of 24.6 inches. It also runs on a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine rated at 197 PS (194 hp / 144 kW).

The refreshed soft-roader boasts Tiggo 8 headlights, a different front bumper, a massive radiator grille, redesigned taillights and quad trapezoid exhaust finishers.

It looks like the trim version in the photos published thus far is topmost or close to the top. This can be inferred from all the vivid body accents and novel 19-inch wheels (17- and 18-inch sets will be available, too).

The main interior highlights are sport seats and a modern infotainment system running on an operating system known as Lion 5.0. Depending on the trim, buyers will receive a slew of electronic assists, Sony audio, all-around view cameras and a heads-up display.

Regarding the drivetrain, all we know is that the transmission is of a seven-speed dual-clutch design. The acceleration times remain to be revealed, and there is still no official sales launch date.
