Chinese automaker Chery will attend the Geneva International Motor Show – which is taking place in Qatar this year – with five new vehicles, as well as the latest hybrid technologies and tuned production cars.
The biggest reveal will be Power 4.0, a platform designed by the company for producing all kinds of vehicles upon it – ICE, hybrid and electric. Chery hasn’t provided any further details yet, nor has it confirmed whether ‘Power 4.0’ is the final name or a temporary one.
Out of the five new cars, two will be hybrids. The company says they represent the ‘culmination of the many years of developing transports running on alternative power sources.’ These will arrive with multiple motor types to choose from, the company’s own three-speed DHT transmission and the latest AI-powered software on board.
Some updated production cars will also be featured at the show. These include the Arrizo 8 saloon, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max, and the Tiggo 7 Pro Max. Both SUVs will sport exterior and interior upgrades.
While it hasn’t been announced yet, we expect Chery to bring six-seat versions of the SUVs to the show with two separate seats instead of a bench in the middle row. The company has recently posted a teaser pic of a Tiggo 8 six-seater, so it wouldn’t be surprising.
