U.S. tuner showcases a perfectly restored 1972 Chevrolet С50 Crew Cab

A while ago, Rtech Fabrications completed a unique restomod, called ‘The Duke’ and based on a 1972 Chevrolet С50 Crew Cab pickup chassis. Fancy a closer look?

The full-size truck belongs to the Chevrolet/GMC C-Series, which has been in production from 1960 until 1998. Despite their age, these vehicles are still quite popular thanks to their relatively easy maintenance and good availability of replacement parts.

Back to the restomod, though. Aside from the extended cab, it sports KMC XD829 Hoss 2 wheels wrapped in gigantic 40-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires, height-adjustable air suspension with Bilstein shocks, and a cargo bed with a hydraulic tipping mechanism. A heavy-duty GM Dana 60 axle at the front end and a GM Corporate axle at the rear have no trouble whatsoever withstanding the load.

The body is painted in a lively combination of white and yellow, with the coal-black tires and bottom supplying the necessary contrast.

The cabin is also anything but stock. The main highlights include a combo trim that involves blue leather and white/yellow checkered fabric, a stylish dashboard with a distinct retro vibe to it, a stereo system, and GMC Sierra seats.

A humongous 5.9-liter Cummins V12 engine with a hydraulic mount by Mercedes-Benz powers the engine-swapped build. It delivers up to 450 hp (336 kW) to the wheels by means of a five-speed manual transmission.

How do you like The Duke by Rtech Fabrications?
