This 1972 Chevrolet C50 restomod is 3 m / 10 ft shorter than the original

Worldwide Auctioneers has recently posted a sale ad for a half-a-century-old Chevrolet C50 pickup truck. Restored and modernized, it likely coasts north of U.S. $100,000.

Perhaps the main selling feature of the entire project comes in the form of the smaller body. The restomod is a whopping 3 meters (10 feet) shorter than stock! The description states that roughly a half of that shortening is due to the truck bed having been moved right next to the cab, and the other half is due to the shortened rear overhang. The resulting freight capacity is still quite good, and the added maneuverability is especially valuable.

On the outside, the car boasts an updated version of its original greenish-blue paintwork with body kit parts and classical wheels painted white for contrast. The truck bed is inlaid with natural wood.

Powering the restomod is a potent modern Chevrolet 5.7 V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. That said, the rear axle now has two gears instead of one, so the driver has as many as eight speeds to switch between.

The cabin uses the same gamma as the exterior and comes wrapped in expensive genuine leather.
