High school senior Zahrah Hayden has taken part in the Skilla USA competition – and built an amazing Chevrolet pickup replica out of random metallic waste.
She has spent 100 workhours on her project and was disappointed when the jury ranked her work 2nd due to the alleged violation of the rules. Apparently, the competition forbids the use of trademarks, while Zahrah chose to adorn her truck with the Chevy badge. This blunder alone cost her 50 score points.
The high schooler began by drawing a rough blueprint of the truck, and then proceeded to collect the required amount of scrap metal. She paid utmost attention to fine details, giving her car suspension springs, bumpers, full bodywork and a cabin. Peek inside, and you will see seats, the steering wheel, the instruments, the dashboard and the pedals.
