AutotopiaLA has recently uploaded a 10-minute video where it tells us about a unique project dedicated to the restoration of a 1957 Chevrolet 3100. The scope of changes is quite amazing.
Ricardo Lopez, owner of the auto shop called Customs by Lopez in South California, made every effort to turn the car into a flashy and memorable show exhibit, rather than a workhorse. This is evidenced by such telltale traits as the Ridtech Airride suspension, all-new LED lighting, and a vivid blue paintjob that House Of Colour has spent over 500 hours applying by hand.
The truck even boasts a bed inlaid with lacquered wood – another indication that it is now innately allergic to cargo. The cabin makes use of indecent amounts of light brown-hued leather and Alcantara, creating a sharp contrast against the blue metallic parts.
Powering the restomod is a naturally aspirated V8 rated at 320 hp (238 kW).
