As you may already know, the worldwide known car producer General Motors is also an official car supplier for the U.S. Police. Starting next year, the existing police car family gets supplemented with four recently introduced Chevrolet models: the 2018 Tahoe SUV (Police Pursuit Vehicle and Special Service Vehicle modifications), the 2018 Silverado SSV pickup, and the 2018 Impala sedan. Of these, the 2018 Tahoe has perhaps changed the most from the previous version, so let’s have a closer look at it.
The car gets to keep its good old 5.3-liter V8 engine but also receives redesigned LED headlights, an infotainment system with color display, and an advanced steering wheel. The U.S. police modification of the vehicle also comes with a set of safety-oriented systems.
Cars of the U.S. Police Special Chevrolet series are priced at $42,630 and above – on average, roughly $5,000 less than their standard issue counterparts.
