Meet the Hoss Fly, a monstrous creation of Mountain Boss Hoss that crosses a massive V8 engine with a barstool, a steering wheel and some wheels. It is fully operational, although we have our reservations regarding the sanity of those brave enough to do so.
The company resides in Pennsylvania and offers the Hoss Fly in a number of modifications with smaller engines, one or two seats, and as DIY crate vehicles. There is even a brutal V8 twin-turbo version. New ones start from $14,900, but this one is used and expected to fetch between $4,000 and $8,000.
Underpinning this particular example is a V8 Chevrolet crate engine with 9.4 liters of displacement, 730 PS (720 hp / 537 kW) and 922 Nm (680 lb-ft) of torque. Sports cars using this engine usually manage a quarter-mile run in nine seconds.
The Hoss Fly is capped at 40 km/h (25 mph) for safety reasons, but it can still tow a trailer weighing up to 900 kilos (2,000 pounds). Even if you considered buying one for some reason, consider also that there is no muffler option available, meaning you will probably go completely deaf before you get into an accident.
