Chevrolet unveils FNR-XE Concept in China

The American carmaker didn’t say whether the electric sedan study was envisioned as a production car, but media in China tend to agree that it was – and will be coming to the market next year.

In its current form, the Chevrolet FNR-XE demonstrates a new development iteration of the Chevrolet brand design. It brings along sharp hood and side outlines, slim headlights, elaborate bumpers front and rear, and an unusual semi-transparent Chevy logo.

A profile view will have you believe the car is a fastback rather than a sedan – largely thanks to its slanted c-pillars and shortened trunk.

From the technical perspective, the FNR-XE comes based on an all-electric platform known as Ultium. It allegedly uses new electric motors and batteries co-developed with the automaker’s partners in China. The rest of the details are unknown.
