Chevrolet Corvette Z06 officially became one of the fastest electric cars in the world. The car managed to set a record at a distance of 1 mile (1,609 km), having reached the maximum point of 306,42 km/h on a speedometer, exceeding the last year's record of nearly 1.5 km / h.
The new achievement is not at all the ultimate dreams of Genovation developers, who put Chevrolet sports car on electropull-rod: the petrol version of the supercar with the eight-cylinder 7-liter engine already accelerated to 330,8 km/h. Engineers plan to increase the maximum speed of Corvette to 354 km/h.
Electric Corvette Z06 is equipped with the electrical power plant with 600 h.p., motors are powered from the block of rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 44 kW ยท h.
