Chevrolet has revealed a facelift of the Activ SUV series belonging to the Chevrolet Spin family. The vehicle will appear in dealerships across Brazil in the next month.
The refreshed Chevrolet Spin Activ is styled like the Cobalt, with the sterner, more respectable-looking front part, added door moldings and fender-mounted side repeat flashers. Its radiator grille now features an active blinds system that contributes to the overall cooling efficiency and improves the vehicle aerodynamics when closed.
The rear part of the car has been modified to an even greater degree. The lights have moved into a horizontal position, and the trunk lid has been reshaped and no longer holds a spare wheel like before.
The interior shows slight retouches here and there. There is a new steering wheel, fake metallic elements and a new instrument panel like the one in the Chevrolet Tracker. The second seat row features new upholstery and is divided into separate seats that can be moved 110 mm (4.3”) back and forth.
The options list now includes a rain sensor and a rear view camera. The previous options – parking assist, cruise control, and climate control – are still there as well.
The company will be producing five- and seven-seat variants of the Chevrolet Spin Activ. The vehicles will ship with a 1.8-liter gasoline/ethanol engine rated at 106 or 111 hp (79 – 83 kW), depending on the modification. It will be coupled with a revised version of the stock automatic transmission.
The prices haven’t been announced so far, but it could be mentioned that the most recent series had cost U.S. $20,400.
