Scott and Carla took a 24-year-old Chevrolet Astro AWD and transformed it into a home on wheels, although it may not be apparent at the first glance.
The only visible exterior modifications are an awning and a socket that plugs a solar panel to a Jackery power generator. Things get much more exciting when you open the door, however. The entire roof is lined with cedar panels, creating a cozy atmosphere. The floor is rubberized and stylized to look like wood. The doors, the ceiling and the walls are heat-insulated.
Those entering the motorhome are greeted by a cabinet with a tabletop in it, a kitchen sink doubling as a salad bowl with a hole in it. A fridge slots in between the seats.
The sofa transforms into a bed only 107 cm (42 inches) wide – a bit cramped for two adults, but Scott and Carla don’t seem to mind. An image projector is mounted at the ceiling, and there is room for an additional display behind the front seats.
