Chevrolet Blazer gets its update for 2022

The off-roader is still 4,874 mm (190.4 inches) long and is otherwise little different from its previous model year version. The front grille has been reshaped, DRLs enlarged and headlight sockets restyled, while the taillights only changed their light patterns.

Wheels have been redesigned, but still come in sizes from 18 to 21 inches large. The main focus in the cabin is a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen instead of the old 8-inch one. Wireless phone charging is now supported, and customers who opt for the ‘sported-up’ RS trim may go for a dark blue interior finish. There is also an entry trim level called LT and a premium one named Premier.

Engine-wise, you could get the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that debuted in 2019 with 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque at the output end. Alternatively, there is a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 with 311 PS (307 hp / 229 kW) and 366 Nm (270 lb-ft). Transmission is nine-speed automatic in both cases, but you can choose between FWD and AWD.

The RS trim version is restricted to the V6 drivetrain, while opting for AWD nets you individual transmission couplings for each rear wheel, like on Cadillac luxury SUVs.

Sales in the USA will begin this summer.
