Chevrolet has posted a video previewing a future electric SUV named the Blazer SS. The letters denote the marque’s most powerful vehicle lineup, so this Blazer will pack plenty of power when it reaches the showrooms.
No further details have been announced. Chevrolet advertises it as a year 2024 model, which means we will likely not see it premiere until 2023. In fact, the video itself says the debut will take place next spring.
It is official that the Blazer SS will be based on the same GM Ultium platform as other General Motors EVs, specifically the Cadillac Lyriq and the Chevrolet Silverado EV. The architecture used provides for a driving range up to 650 km (404 miles) on a charge and enables using electric motor configurations summing up to 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts). Moving forward, the corporation plans to upgrade its EVs with next-gen batteries and extend the range to around 1,000 kilometers (621 miles).
