Chevrolet announced the Blazer EV in January, proceeded to show us some teasers this spring, and now revealed its design along with the premiere date: July 18, 2022.
Even though there is only a month left to wait, the actual sales launch will only be next spring. In the meantime, we know that the EV comes based on the same GM Ultium platform as other recent Chevrolet vehicles. Its range is unofficially estimated at 483 km (300 miles).
The new image shows an SS badge that Chevrolet usually reserves for its high-end sports cars. The actual performance level of the Blazer EV remains to be revealed, though. Its direct rival – the Mustang Mach-E GT – peaks at 486 PS (480 hp / 357 kW).
The front fascia looks different from that of the gas-powered Blazer. Black inserts accentuate the deep red exterior color along with sculpted and blanked body panels.
