Ringbrothers has come to SEMA with a handful of cool projects, including this 50-year-old Chevrolet Blazer it had spent 8,500 hours working on. The off-roader received new suspension, a custom cabin and several times the original amount of power.
Most of the 1970s-era Blazers came equipped with 110-hp (82-kW) engines, while the top spec enjoyed a 5.7-liter V8 rated at 175 PS (173 hp / 129 kW). Swapping the latter out for a modern 6.8-liter V8 tuned by Wegner Motorsports raised the output to a colossal 1,217 PS (1,200 hp / 895 kW).
Thanks to Bowler AWD, Dana axles and Fox shocks and arms, the build makes a formidable off-road machine. Its 18-inch wheels come wrapped in Cooper Discoverer mud tires and conceal six-piston Baer calipers behind the spokes.
Complementing the look are flared fenders and a ventilated hood. The interior makes use of novel seats composed of interwoven leather strips wrapped around metal frames. The roof is absent, but the power braces are in place.
