World’s first Chevrolet Blazer rolls off assembly line in Mexico

A General Motors factory in Mexico has produced its very first mass-market example of the Chevrolet Blazer EV. The company announced it with a photo on its social media.

Chevy’s first battery Blazer comes finished in a vivid shade of blue. It appears to be the RS spec with 21-inch wheels and a blacked-out radiator grille. The entry-level 1LT trim is expected to reach production in early 2024, while the range-topping SS version (see video) is underway to the market this autumn.

The battery parameters remain to be revealed, but GM says the Blazer RS gets around 515 km (320 miles) of range per charge.
