Mecum Auctions will attempt to sell this fully restored 1967 Chevrolet C10 truck at its Texas auction at the end of the month. Do excuse the rust: it’s purely for show.
The vehicle is actually in excellent condition with imitated corrosion and patina throughout the body and cabin. Even better, it has been swapped to a modern 6.27-liter V8 rated at a standard 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW), so it should have plenty of thrust.
The listing doesn’t mention how much, but this particular mill has been upgraded with GM Performance cylinder heads, a stainless-steel manifold, a new exhaust system and a Champion aluminum cooler, among other things, so it should be pretty capable. The transmission is automatic and switches ‘smoothly’, per the seller.
On the outside, our favorite detail is the ten-spoke wheels. The clean, straight spokes shine with chrome and look great against Gunmetal Grey rims. They also contrast quite a bit with the otherwise aged-looking pickup. The front pair measures 20 inches in diameter and the rear one 22 inches. Suspension is new, too, and steering is power-assisted.
The cabin looks rather frugal with simple retro upholstery all around and no creature comforts in sight. Once again, it is merely an illusion. There is an HVAC on board along with a high-end audio system featuring multiple amps.
There is no price estimate at this time.
