Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE now available with AT

For the first time in 26 years, Chevrolet has made its Camaro ZL1 1LE racecar available with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The option costs around U.S. $1,600 and should go on sale in April.

The marque’s fastest-going coupe ships with a 6.2 V8 engine rated at 659 hp (491 kW) and 881 Nm (650 lbft) of torque. Up to the present day, the car had only been purchasable with a six-speed manual gearbox. Caving in to high market demand, the company has finally agreed to make automatic an option as well.

Compared to the main ZL1 series, the 1LE trim features a carbon front bumper and rear wing, different pillar supports, tuned chassis, electronic diff lock, adjustable roll bar, improved engine cooling and multi-mode exhaust system.

An automatic Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE would set you back U.S. $73,800.
