Ringbrothers to sell their 51-year old Chevy ‘The Grinch’ Camaro

Ringbrothers, a car restoration and tuning house founded by Jim and Mike Ring, built this unique and extremely challenging 1970 Chevrolet Camaro restomod a while ago, naming it The Grinch. Grab it in Las-Vegas on June 17-19 if you want to be in time for Christmas.

The donor coupe ended up stripped down to the last screw, polished, protected against rust and lacquered again, resulting in a car that looks fresh from the factory. An LS3 V8 went under the hood, and the company boosted it to exactly 602 horsepower (450 kW), as evidenced by the number on the engine deck lid. An improved Tremec five-speed manual gearbox was tasked with delivering the momentum to the rear axle.

Speaking of other exterior highlights, there is no omitting fancy aftermarket headlights, carbon-fiber side mirror caps, and a black radiator grille. There is no chrome in sight, and the smaller décor is all gone in favor of a ‘clean’ look. Forgeline centerlock wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05 rubber reinforce the Spartan impression.

The interior has been remade completely with Corbeau bucket seats, bucketloads of dark grey Italian leather and, inexplicably, BMW floor mats. Having said that, the custom dashboard, door panels and partition replacing the rear seats all look surprisingly well in the overall design, so the mats really don’t stick out at all.

Prices remain unannounced, but going to the auction without at least a couple hundred thousand bucks to spare would probably be a waste of your time.
