The Chevy Camaro currently ranks third in the muscle car wars, losing ground to Ford and Dodge. The Dodge Challenger is the current champion, and the Mustang Shelby GT500 is no slouch, either. At 651 U.S. horsepower, the ZL1 lags around 100 hp behind its rivals – but this particular race shows that it is perfectly capable, too.
The drivers met in Mission Raceway Park, Canada, which lies almost on the sea level ensuring adequate performance of all engines, naturally aspirated or otherwise. In the video, the ZL1 takes on one Challenger Hellcat and then another one. We strongly suspect that it has been tuned, though, because it gets a way faster launch than the Dodges.
