780-PS Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 rightfully claims its muscle car status

Chevrolet Camaro hasn’t been selling particularly well over the past few years, falling behind the more capable competition, but an enthusiast from the UK bought one and tuned it to unleash its true potential.

The car you see here is a high-performance ZL1 spec outfitted with a different front bumper, rear diffuser and rear wing, which is made of carbon fiber. As a result, it may look confusingly like the lightweight 1LE (but is not).

The modifications did not end there, of course. The owner replaced the supercharger with a larger one, overhauled the air intake system, upgraded the throttle body and installed a Stage II methanol injection kit. As a result, the output of the powertrain rose from 660 PS (651 hp / 485 kW) to 781 PS (770 hp / 574 kW).

As usual, purists will find things to complain about. For one, the Camaro ZL1 is available in six-speed manual and ten-speed automatic flavors, and this one goes auto. But just you wait until you see how it burns rubber and launches itself from standstill to top speed! It is a purebred muscle car and acts as one, too.
