Roadster Shop has dialed this ancient Camaro coupe to 1,500 horsepower, putting it on par with hypercars like the Bugatti Chiron.
This necessitated swapping the OEM engine out for a Nelson Racing V8 mill equipped with twin turbos, two injectors per cylinder, and a four-speed automatic transmission with manual valve body control to let the driver participate at least in some way.
Hypercar levels of power always necessitate plenty of other mods, and Roadster Shop addresses this issue with an all-new, stiffer custom frame for the Camaro. The suspension all around benefits from sportier Fox shocks, and the ride height is about as low as it ever gets. In fact, the crew was able to drop the floor level by around 100 mm (4 inches), so that the occupants of the Recaro CS Sportster seats feel like they are in a Formula racer.
Rounding off the crazy project are 355mm (14-inch) Brembo brakes on both axles and HRE forged wheels.
