1 of 15 Camaro SS Trans Am Hurst Edition crops up on sale

A 2014 Camaro SS Trans Am Hurst Edition Coupe will go under the hammer in May. It is the ninth out of only 15 units built by Trans Am Depot with period-correct Pontiac Trans Am styling from the 1970s.

The car features an all-new front fascia with a new bumper, radiator grille, headlights with their amber-tinted DRLs, and a special hood sporting the iconic Trans Am graphics. The rear end is also different with new taillights, bumper and impressively sized spoiler.

The black and gold body pays homage to the car driven by the protagonist of Smokey and the Bandit. The interior follows suit with a matching trim and original Hurst Performance logos. The roof consists of removable carbon-fiber panels.

Power for the limited series comes from a 6.2-liter Camaro ZL1 V8 originally rated at 580 PS (572 hp / 427 kW). The engineering team upgraded it with a more powerful turbocharger and was able to raise the output to 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW). The transmission is six-speed manual, and the car on sale has 10,700 km (6,650 miles) under its belt.

There is no asking price at this moment.
