30-year-old Chevy Camaro rocks C8 ‘Vette cabin transplant with proper wiring

We have seen our fair share of skillfully executed restorations, but few projects paid as much attention to the interior as this one.

The owner of this 1992 Chevrolet Camaro decided to spruce it up a bit by transferring the entire interior of the latest Corvette C8 into it. The two cars aren’t nearly the same size, so every single detail required fitting and adapting in order to work.

Making things worse was the wiring, which even experienced tuners often struggle to transfer correctly and resort to workarounds. As you can see for yourself, though, the electronic bits work as intended here – and it is no small feat.

Aside from the above, the American two-door muscle car had its stock engine swapped out for a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 producing 350 PS (345 hp / 257 kW) and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque. To put things into perspective, the original mill had 233 PS (230 hp / 172 kW) and 407 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque.

Make sure to watch both videos if you want to know just how much effort goes into projects like this one.
