Specialty Vehicle Engineering, a popular U.S.-based tuning firm, has unveiled a forthcoming upgrade package for the Chevrolet Camaro called YENKO/SC Stage II. The company wants to issue a highly limited series of vehicles based on the 1LE SS chassis. What’s so special about this release? Let’s have a look.
To begin with, the Specialty Vehicle Engineering team expanded the stock Camaro SS V8 engine to 6.8L from 6.2L and retrofitted it with a revised exhaust system as well as new crankshaft, injectors, and forged aluminum pistons. As a result, its performance skyrocketed from 461 hp and 616 Nm of torque to 1,014 hp and 1,185 Nm.
Of course, the upgrade necessitated the installation of a highly precise six-speed manual transmission – which is exactly what the Chevrolet Camaro YENKO/SC Stage II gets as a part of the upgrade. There is also new adaptive suspension, brakes, and cooling system.
Prices remain undisclosed.
