Rumors about the impending discontinuation of the Chevrolet Camaro have been circulating for years now, but today, the company officially confirmed the sixth generation would be the last.
The press release says there will be a number of special editions, the first of them expected to arrive soon, but that the production lines will stop in January 2024, sending the Camaro badge into the annals of history.
Having said that, the company hints that a successor of ideological descendant of sorts could be already in the works. The release says that, while there is no direct successor waiting to pick up where the current model left off, “this is not the end of Camaro’s story.”
