The sixth generation of the Chevrolet Camaro is being sent to its retirement on official terms now. A Collector’s Edition will do on sale on June 15, and the production will end in January.
The farewell package will be available for all Camaro versions currently on sale. It brings along a new body finish, 20-inch wheels and a handful aerodynamic parts. A panther badge is added to the cabin, a nod to the fact that Chevrolet had initially called the Camaro ‘Panther’ during development.
Things are looking differently for the ZL1 top spec Collector’s Edition. The V8 still produces its standard 659 PS (650 hp / 485 kW), but the body wears a new matte finish, the brake calipers are offset in red, and the rear wing and spoiler come straight from the 1LE racecar (watch the video for a reminder).
Pre-orders will open next Thursday, June 15.
