1,500-hp Chevy Camaro stands on par with Bugatti Chiron

Specialty Vehicles Engineering (SVE) caused some ripples in the Camaro fan community last year when it presented a 1,150-hp (858-kW) Stage II tuning kit for the coupe (see video). It has now outdone itself with a Stage III follow-up rated at 1,500 hp (1,119 kW).

The upgrade targets the 2024MY Camaro and increases the displacement of the stock LT1 V8 from 6.2 to 7 liters. Most of the components get swapped out for their racing-quality counterparts, and a particularly robust supercharger is installed. The intake, injection and exhaust are all new, and the transmission gets its own share of mods to withstand the mountain-moving 1,830 Nm (1,350 lb-ft) of torque.

SVE says it will produce only 100 Stage III kits. Those looking for a less extreme tune-up can order a Stage I or II kit for their Camaro – 50 units of each are planned for production. The pricing details are pending.
