The facelifted 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Stingray ships with a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 466 hp (347 kW) and 630 Nm (465 pound-feet) of torque. This should give it plenty of acceleration dynamics, given its moderate weight of just 1,585 kilograms (3,500 lb). Still, there is always Hennessey Performance for those who aren’t satisfied with the stock values.
Once the HPE1000 power kit is installed, the nominal power output of the new Chevy Corvette skyrockets to 1,000 hp (745 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lbft) of torque, which corresponds to roughly 840 hp (626 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lbft) of torque at the wheels.
On the technical side of things, the upgrade consists of new forged cylinders, a hi-end supercharger, an improved cooling system and much more.
You can recognize the modded HPE1000 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Stingray by multiple Hennessey logos both inside and outside of the car.
