This heartrending video of a black Chevrolet Corvette Z51 burning down to the hull was filmed by the car’s owner, who said he had difficulty getting out of the car when it suddenly went up in flames for no apparent reason.
This particular specimen rolled off the assembly line in 2014. The man kept a respectable distance from the car as he filmed it on his smartphone, apparently because he was anxious about the possibility of the fuel tank exploding.
He also stressed he wasted no time in calling the fire fighters, but they took their time arriving to the spot, so most of the car was destroyed by the time they did arrive. The hull, some of the front body, and the engine was all that survived.
In 2018, Coyote Works published a video with a burning Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The vlogger said his SUV spontaneously caught fire when he drove it on a highway in Oregon, USA.
