Japanese tuners have upped their ante immensely over the past several years, producing body kits that many Europeans and Americans find to their liking. You’d think the times when ‘JDM’ was synonymous with ‘overblown’ and ‘immature’ were over; you’d be wrong.
Rowen International is the perpetrator this time around. The company took in a perfectly fine C7 Chevrolet Corvette and turned it into… well, whatever it is you see on the photos here. Granted, Rowen did not have much previous experience working with the Chevrolet brand, but its successful Toyota and Audi kits showed us what looked like great potential. A shame, really.
Whether the ugly front spoiler, the tasteless side skirts, or the rear diffuser with fat LEGO-style fins – you go ahead and name the part you think is the worst. As for us, let’s say those chrome wheels with their inimitable ‘crumpled tinfoil’ look take the top prize.
You can do better, Rowen!
