This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette restomod is a work of art like few others

Car restoration and modernization may be a flourishing global trend now, but you don’t often see a restomod as well-conceived and as lovingly crafted as this C2 Chevy Corvette from the year 1967.

The sports car belongs to a private collector from the United States and will go on sale on June 3 – 7, 2020. The asking price is not available at the moment.

The front suspension is brand-new and uses tubular frame components taken from a C5 Corvette, whereas the rear axle benefits from the more-up-to-date C6 parts. The brakes stem from the range-topping Corvette Z06.

The elongated hood cover how conceals a lightweight aluminum LS3 V8 engine sending up to 525 horsepower (391 kW) to the rear axle via a five-speed manual transmission. The wheels are represented by the Spider Alloy Forged set (American Speed Shop) measuring 18 inches on the front axle and 19 inches on the rear one.

A Metallic Silver paintjob finalizes the exterior, going along nicely with the numerous classical chrome accents.

The interior is every bit as stunning. Opulent light brown Mercedes-Benz leather is used throughout, and occasional aluminum and chrome highlights do much to liven the atmosphere. The dashboard, the gear selector and the FM radio are all strictly classical, with not a bit of modern equipment in sight.
