Canadian tuner Callaway has released an upgrade kit for the Chevy Camaro LT1 that puts it on par with the top-end ZL1 in terms of sheer performance, for less money. Interested?
The kit is called SC630 and includes a twin-screw supercharger, a high-flow air intake system, and an ECU update. Once everything is installed and configured, the output raises by more than 25% to 630 hp (470 kW) and 827 Nm (610 lb-ft). The stock values are 460 hp (343 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft), accordingly.
You can order a Callaway Camaro SC630 in any authorized dealership in Canada for the equivalent of $53,000 – a fair bit below the $64,000 of the baseline ZL1, let alone the $70,000+ of its higher trims.
