Back in February this year, TJ Hunt of Street Hunter U.S.A. was among the first to offer us his personal vision of the mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette C8, complete with fender extensions. It’s been a while since we heard last from the tuner, but now it turns out the widebody kit is nearly ready for production.
The videos go into detail on what we know to like and appreciate in such projects: rather than producing carbon fiber parts based on 3D renderings and then struggling to fit them onto the real car, TJ Hunt begins with an extended prototyping stage. He prints a variety of wheel arches on a 3D printer and tries every variant on his ‘Vette to see which ones fit nicely and which ones don’t.
The production should begin soon, and the kit should cost around the same amount of money as the one for the A90 Supra, specifically $7,000.
